Washington D.C. - U.S. Congressman Tom Cole (OK-4) today announced that the Midwest City Police Department has been awarded equipment from the United States Department of Homeland Security's Commercial Equipment Direct Assistance Program (CEDAP).

"I applaud the Midwest City Police Department in securing the CEDAP award.  This award will provide equipment to help enhance first responder capabilities in Oklahoma," Congressman Cole said.

Midwest City Police Department was awarded night vision goggles to assist the department's first respond and rescue capabilities. CEDAP provides smaller communities and rural areas with technology and equipment, together with training and technical assistance, to help enhance first responder capabilities throughout the nation.
