Congressman Cole Thanks Summer Interns

WASHINGTON D.C. -- Three students from the University of Oklahoma have recently completed an internship in the Washington D.C. office of U.S. Congressman Tom Cole (OK-4). Those students, Dan Adams, Polly DeBron and Nanette Light were chosen to participate in Cole's six-week Summer Internship Program.

"This internship program gives students the opportunity to experience the government work environment while living in the Nation's Capitol," Congressman Cole said. "I appreciate Nanette, Polly and Dan for their diligent service to our office. They are hardworking students who have represented the University of Oklahoma well."

Congressman Cole's Summer Internship Program accepts applications from college students who have reached junior or senior status. Interns assist the office through managing office materials, providing Capitol tours to constituents and performing detailed legislative research.

Cole's 2007 summer interns include Dan Adams, Polly DeBron, and Nanette Light. Adams is a junior, accounting major from Tulsa. DeBron of Norman and Light from Houston, Texas are both juniors studying in the journalism department. The photo also includes Elsie Urueta, a student participating in a twelve-week internship.
